Owners caring for a shared home.
Dakota Place Condominium Association, Inc. is the association of the owners of Dakota Place, a condominium community at 133 Lost Creek Lane in Mountain Village, above Telluride.
Every owner is a member. Through an elected board and a professional manager, the association maintains the common elements, carries the building’s insurance, plans reserves for long-term repairs, and upholds the declaration and rules.
Architecture & History
Completed in 1999, Dakota Place is twelve residences in two matching buildings facing San Sophia Ridge. Their stucco, timber, and local stone under tile roofs were designed to blend with the surrounding San Juan Mountains, and every residence has heated parking in the shared underground garage.
Location
Dakota Place sits right off the Village Express (Lift 4), a short walk from the Mountain Village core and the gondola to the town of Telluride — with world-class skiing, hiking, and the San Juan Mountains all around. Dakota Place owners also belong to the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association (TMVOA), which serves all of Mountain Village.
How We Operate
- Open meetings. Board meetings are open to owners, with notice and agenda emailed at least 24 hours ahead.
- Records kept. Meeting minutes are kept for at least five years and sent to owners once approved.
- Annual disclosures. Budget, financials, insurance, and governing documents are sent to owners after each fiscal year.
- Written policies. The board operates under adopted responsible-governance policies, available in the owners portal.
Board of Directors
Our volunteer board of directors is elected by and from the owners. The board meets regularly to oversee association operations, financial planning, and major decisions affecting the community, and its meetings are open to owners (except executive sessions permitted by law).
To reach the board, send a message and choose Board Question. Board member names and meeting details are in the owners portal.
Property Management
Dakota Place works with Telluride Maintenance for day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, and owner support.
