A quiet residential community.
Dakota Place is a private residential condominium community where owners and neighbors live. These rules apply to all guests, renters, and visitors — thank you for helping keep it a great place to stay.
Parking
- Parking spaces are privately owned. Park only in the space assigned to or approved for your unit — your host will tell you which one.
- Maximum vehicle length is 18 feet, with no overhang past the front garage column line.
- Never park in drive aisles, restricted areas, or anyone else’s space.
Improperly parked vehicles may be towed or booted at the vehicle owner’s expense.
Access & Security
- Do not share building or garage access codes with anyone.
- Meet visitors and deliveries at the door; don’t let unknown people into the building.
- Make sure doors close securely behind you.
- Report suspicious activity to your host or local authorities.
- Follow all posted building rules.
Quiet & Neighbors
- Please keep noise down, especially in the late evening and early morning.
- No loud music or disruptive behavior.
- Keep voices low in hallways and stairwells, and don’t gather in common areas.
Noise complaints may result in fines to the unit owner, and your host may end your stay.
Pets
- Pets are not permitted for renters or guests — including dogs, cats, and other animals.
- If a pet is brought to the property, the unit owner may be fined and the animal must be removed.
- Assistance animals (service and support animals) are not pets — please contact your host before arrival.
Hallways & Common Areas
- Zero tolerance for storage in hallways, walkways, stairwells, and common spaces.
- That includes skis, snowboards, bikes, boots, luggage, gear, groceries, and trash.
Required by fire and safety regulations.
Trash
- Use the trash room dumpsters in the garage.
- Break down large boxes and packaging, or take them with you.
- Never leave trash in hallways, on decks, in stairwells, or outside the building.
Balconies & Decks
- No smoking, clutter, or hanging laundry.
- Don’t throw anything from balconies, and don’t feed wildlife.
- No loud gatherings that disturb neighbors.
Safety
- Never tamper with smoke or CO detectors, fire alarms, or sprinkler heads.
- Keep doors and windows closed and secure to prevent weather damage.
Respect the Property
- Treat walls, doors, and elevators with care.
- Report any damage right away to your host.
- Guests are responsible for damage caused during their stay.
For Owners & Rental Hosts
All rentals at Dakota Place must comply with association policies, including:
- A written lease
- A minimum 5-night rental period
- Use of a local property manager
If Rules Aren’t Followed
Owners are responsible for their guests. Under the association’s adopted policies, violations may result in:
- Fines to the unit owner, after notice and an opportunity to be heard
- Loss of the owner’s rental privileges for up to six months
- Your host ending your stay
